Herbal supplements that contain a laundry list of every popular diet herb not only cost much more than bulk herbs, some are downright unsafe. You have better and cheaper options right in your kitchen.

Weight loss Remedies

1. Acai berry smoothie

Acai freeze dried powder makes a great antioxidant smoothie. Enjoy in the morning or as an afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon Acai powder
1 medium bananna
1 cup yogurt
1 tsp almond flavor
1 cup soymilk
1/2 cup ice


Acai Berry
Recipe Instructions: Blend until smooth. You can also use frozen yogurt/and or bananna instead of ice.

 

2. Garcinia and Orange Diet Tea

This is a diet tea that uses two herbs commonly found in extract form, bitter orange and garcinia fruit. Products are often labeled Garcinia cambogia and standardized to contain a fixed percentage of HCA. Why use the whole fruit? What garcinia fruit offers that HCA supplements do not is potassium. The HCA in supplements is bound to calcium and is poorly absorbed.
Cautions: May interfere with sleep if taken too close to bedtime.

Ingredients:
Fennel * Garcinia * Bitter Orange *
Additions: 1/2 teaspoon organic raw honey.

Recipe Instructions: Use 1 tablespoon dried bitter orange peel, 2 medium pieces of dried garcina fruit, and 1 teaspoon bruised fennel seeds. Add to 1 1/2 quarts of cold water, and bring to a boil slowly. Simmer 20 minutes, strain and serve. This tea is very astringent and pucker your mouth sour, so the 1/2 teaspoon of honey is needed for drinkability.
